Book Summary from Goodreads
Death.
She was afraid of it.
He was used to it.
There's not much that MacKenzie Rivers is afraid of. In the small town of Windsor, Colorado, she is known for her easygoing, strong personality, some would even say she isn't afraid of anything. But MacKenzie knows that's not true. She's afraid of losing those closest to her. Recovering from a family tragedy, Kenzie is fully aware of just how big an impact death can have on those it leaves behind. Seeing its effects on other people is something she just can't quite handle. From now on, Kenzie is her own priority.

There are not many things that Jaden Hunter can make sense of. He doesn't understand why it was his parents who lost their lives last year. He doesn't understand why his fr…

Mid Year Freak Out Tag

OK so the Mid-Year Freak Out Tag has been doing the rounds and I thought that I would add mine to the world. This tag was originally created by ReadLikeWildfire and I have linked her original video here.

So let's get started...

1. Best book you've read this year so far?

Street Song by Sheena Wilkinson- This book was definitely a raw YA story that touched on issues that are not often mentioned in YA so it was therefore quite special to me and will probably make my favourites list.

2. Best sequel you've read this year so far

For this, I have chosen Hollow City by Ransom Riggs because there was so much character development in this book that it made it very special.

3. New releases you haven't read yet but want to.

Release by Patrick Ness- I love Patrick Ness and have had it since it was released (no pun intended) but I haven't had time so hopefully, I will read it soon.

4. Most anticipated release f

Summary of Roseblood from Goodreads:
In this modern day spin on Leroux’s gothic tale of unrequited love turned to madness, seventeen-year-old Rune Germain has a mysterious affliction linked to her operatic talent, and a horrifying mistake she’s trying to hide. Hoping creative direction will help her, Rune’s mother sends her to a French arts conservatory for her senior year, located in an opera house rumored to have ties to The Phantom of the Opera.
At RoseBlood, Rune secretly befriends the masked Thorn—an elusive violinist who not only guides her musical transformation through dreams that seem more real than reality itself, but somehow knows who she is behind her own masks. As the two discover an otherworldly connection and a soul-deep romance blossoms, Thorn’s dark agenda comes to light and he’s forced to make a d…

Thoughts I had while rereading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

So for most of us, we grew up reading the Harry Potter series but what do people (especially me) think while rereading it. Well, you are about to find out. But first, see Pottermore's similar blog post about this subject although this subject is similar all thoughts are my own.

So let's get started...

1. McGonagall has the sass even as a cat.
2. He has Sirius' motorbike. Can we just pause so I can sob?
3. A birthmark of the London underground- helpful. What will he do if new stations get added though?
4. Harry's "dream" about the flying motorbike.
5. Does Harry's hair magically grow? (Yes, Yes it does- me in writing this)
6. Also magic jumper? (I don't know either)
7. Also the jump and the fact that he was found on the top of his school roof (Think I got this one)
8. The unknown relative to take him away. I wonder who that is?
9. "Who'd be writing to you"- someone. Harry must have some friends- the Dursley's are so mean.
10. The power of names.…
